Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury, and the rehabilitation of the patient back to the optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability. It utilizes the principles of sport and exercise sciences, incorporating physiological and pathological processes to prepare the participant for training, competition and where applicable, work. Our Sports Therapist will assess, treat, and provide patients with a prevention program based on their level of fitness, age, and condition. The Sports Therapist treats not only professional athletes but also recreational athletes, as well as the general population. Our goal is to find the root of the problem, and target the cause. Most of the time, a detailed biomechanical assessment is needed to identify the cause of the pain.
